By the way: if you want an easy way to do this, here's how:

Don't actually say the words, just whisper loudly (so you are just making the percussion sounds). Say the words "Boots and Cats." It really helps. Doing this method is the harder sounding snare effect.

Then, for the second one, say "Boots and Pffffts." Doing this method is the softer, swishing sounding snare effect.
