http://sangomajourney.com This video was taken during a zulu sangoma ceremony. The ceremony usually starts around 6pm on a Friday evening and ends the next day sometime during late afternoon. Hours and hours are spent dancing and singing with a single drum for accompaniment. The purpose of the dance is to reach trance.

  • The two main dancers in red, black and white are mother and daughter. The mother is the matriarch and the senior sangoma. She claims to have taught 400 twasas.

  • I recognise Makosi Hoods makazini. We just recently returned from spending three weeks on a spiritual journey with him and my sisters. Incredible place and people. Thanks for sharing.
