The most common advice from screenplay professionals is NOT to write about your own life. It makes the task much more prone to problems, as most beginners have trouble making changes in their personal stories when structure requires it. That doesn't mean you can't do it, but you must know how to effectively write something that will sell or that won't destroy your ambition because no one wanted it. Read screenplay books, watch seminars, and take classes. Good luck! :)

I have a deep desire to write a play. I started to form the play already. This play is dear to my heart because it's about my life and my struggles that I have been through from having my Mother's funeral on my birthday to moving from one State to another with my ex-husband having him leave me on the same day and first day that I arrived here in Tampa Florida with 2 young kids. I must say that I have a lot of talent but no direction if you can give me some advice. I would greatly appreciate it

Yeah critique is always nice wether it's good or bad I mean really though saying things like "first comment!" or whatever is just plain stupid and nobody cares wether someone's the first or second etc. y'know? It's really immature if you ask me.

Yeah. And if you post something useful people will still know you were the first comment!
