i would suggest the emergent people do not believe that God is love either, for what they have is not love, it is sentimental indulgence.
my point is that if they deny righteousness and holiness then they deny the love of God also.
after all, are these people so bad as parents as to only indulge their children

it is so broad as to be a plain, and so ill defined as to be a bog, a swamp, an UNHOLY mess
everything i learn about the Emergent persuades me that are not atheists but they are not christian also, so have nothing to offer.
they dont DO church (their favourite pet phrase) so much as PLAY AT CHURCH.
BTW their understanding of love is vacuous and so useless. to be loved by a God like that is to have gained nothing at all.

Well, obviously this guy is a believer in the Old Testament God and NOT the New Testament one. But regardless, believing in something does not make it true. And, how dare you for being just a typical biggot who wants to promote your own beliefs as being the "only way to believe." The real problem is with people who call themselves Christians and focus on doctrine when they should just love one another. Love is what unites us, while doctrine divides.

I am thankful for the atonement of Christ. Again they are straying from basic doctrine. I guess they don't believe in the judgment seat of Christ either. This earth is going to be burned up, so they are wasting their time trying to save this planet that is dying.

It's so sad that so many people want to feel God with out the truth part. But the more I have grown in my knowledge of God, the more I have known God by doing what I know is right day by day, and as a result, I have experiences God's immense love and joy and grace. Without knowing God's wrath, how do we ever expect to know His great grace?

Amen! That is a good scripture. I have personally found comfort in Genesis 11:1-9 (because to me it's like God is just shaking His head at their stupidity, and He is by no means alarmed at their rebellion) as well as Psalm 2. Both scriptures show the absolute soverignty of God.
Another good comfort scripture would be 2 Thess 2:13-15, which is in light of stuff like this video. We should praise God that He has kept us from these decptions.

Budman, I am right there with you. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:11 that false prophets will arise, and will mislead many - and this is happening RIGHT NOW before our eyes. I do have a verse that might encourage you when it comes to End Times Events. Look up Daniel12:10. I found comfort in that and I hope it encourages you as well. It seems that only a small portions of true Christians have insight into these modern day heresies.

Universalism is also being embraced by the RCC. The denial of the exclusivity of Christ is what will be contended. That and the Atonement itself. Have you ever wondered why Jesus Christ is most referred to as the Lamb in Revelation? I believe, with the way things are going, that sin and the Atonement will be denied by the Great Whore and anyone who preaches these things will be persecuted and matryred (Rev 6:9-11, & Rev 17:6).

We all feel somewhat discouraged because of the so-called revival, & all these 'new age' movements entering the church, but we can't allow these things to make us feel a sense of hopelessness. Instead, we have to allow these things to rekindle the fire within us to have a NEW passion to share the gospel with others, because there is NO HOPE for people involved in these things without Jesus & His shed blood!

Pianohbc: Until people refuse to sit under pastors who do not believe the Bible , do not teach the Bible, and do not preach from the Bible this nation is in a downward spiral that can not be stopped.
