@boilingpoint2 Thats why it has 3 turbos. Probably smaller ones work in low to mid rpm, and bigger one at high rpm. Probably similar to 123d, it also revs very high and doesn't feel like a diesel at all.
@boilingpoint2 Yep, its at 5400 rpm, much higher than other diesels. Its because it has 3 turbochargers, 2 smaller ones and 1 big one, which enable it to have close to maximum torque and power trough entire rev range, from idle to rev limit.
Awesome....380hp and 780 Nm (580 lbft) of torque available from less than 1500 rpm to 4400 rpm, rev limiter at 5400 rpm, 4 wheel drive, double clutch gearbox, M5 handling.... 4,7 sec 0-100, 45 mpg average fuel consumption, 165 grams of CO2.
