Andy Johns recorded this Zepplin track with 2 mics suspended on the stairwell of an old English country house with shed-loads of compression on the way in. There's a YouTube video somewhere of Andy Johns explaining how he did it.

Console is a DDA AMR 24, but I dont use the Pre's. Old School Audio Pre's (API clones) and Avid/Digi 192 interfaces on a PTHD 3 system.
