agreed, but he isnt the only one.

I dont think people realize how god he was at classical trumpet. He wasn't even close to being at his peak when he stopped and crossed to jazz, but even then he was crazy. The only reason he's not on my list of 5 favorite trumpet players is because of his interpretations (I can't stand his Tomasi, Jolivet, and a host of others, but that's just me), but he is still, in my mind, a flawless player. Most people can't comprehend the difference between him and other professionals.

what are you talking about? wynton's good. he's done so much for the understanding of jazz it's incalculable. know why? cause there isn't anyone else!
he's THE one and only 'great educator' of jazz. i'm infuriated to have such people from louisiana knockin this hero. wynton's kept jazz from imploding...he's regressed it and advanced it, in the right ways. maybe you preferred to see a burnt-out wynton, a drugged out wynton. jazz teacher wynton....oh yes. you don't like blanchard either?

He's wondering what he was thinking, asking this guy on his show. He's thinking "Why is this douche blowing smoke up my ass?"

You think he looked bewildered. Why?

Oh man, Charlie and Wynton in the same place. My life is complete.

I think he points out to an excellent topic. music and words are walking on the parallel roads finding for answers. "you and I make three" wonderful conclusion. I should check that poet and I want to buy his CD..
