This was recorded in a low residue plot in an irrigated cornfield in southwestern Kansas. Wish I would have used the macro setting on my video camera. What I was trying to show was how the largest soil particles (sand) creep or roll along the soil surface. What you can see is the result--the soil surface starts to look strange over time, as there are some areas that are rough and some that are smooth. Note that this field was strip-tilled about 6 weeks before this video was recorded. Recorded April 4, 2009.
