This spectacular Leibherr mobile crane was involved in a hoist early this morning at the corner of Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto. Sadly I missed it as the crane was being dismantled when I arrived prior to departure to the next jobsite. Nonetheless, this video clearly displays the enormous size of this fine German-built crane. Note the heavy hydraulic telescoping boom and unusual load-bearing V-shaped 'wings'. Most of the lattice boom extension had already been removed. Apparently the lift involved hoisting a large transformer atop a thirty-odd story building at the corner of Yonge & Eglinton. Now THAT would have been a sight!

Greetings to the pleasant on-duty police officer with whom I chatted, one of several present charged with managing traffic, both pedestrian and wheeled. I trust this video meets your expectations!
