Sydney Duststorm 23 Sept 2009

I woke up at about 5:30 in the morning and the sky was bright orange. I couldn't sleep because all I could smell was the dust so I thought I'd go and see what it was like. It was such an eerie feeling. I was hoping that as the sun came up it would show a glimpse of the harbour bridge (normally visible from the bridge I was filming on) but it was so thick you couldn't see a thing. Totally amazing! I wasn't the only one interested and was soon joined by lots of photographers and a news crew ... I even managed to make a cameo appearance in the ABC2 vision!!
