PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION!

For my Final Major Project in the Foundation Year at Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication, I drew inspiration from Buster Keaton, the Ealing Comedies and Mr Bean to produce this short film; to demonstrate the effects of willpower and determination while engaged in an innocent pastime.

As an amateur photographer misses the opportunity to get a snapshot of a steam train, what sort of heights will he end up reaching just to get his picture?

This is an original short film starring myself and my friends. The music and artwork are my own creations and I own all the rights to this video.

Filmed by Chris Eden-Green & Simon A.C. Martin
Starring Chris Eden-Green & Donald Harper

With special thanks to the Museum of Kent Life and the Bluebell Railway for helping to make this film possible.

PLEASE NOTE: What happens between 4:00 and 4:52 is NOT to be practiced at home. Railways are dangerous environments and are not for playing around on! (4:36-38 was achieved with a split-screen effect).
Filming for this production was undertaken with permission granted by Tim Baker of the Bluebell Railway Preservation Society, with a temporary trackside PTS granted for the duration.
This kind of filmmaking is highly dangerous and shouldn't be attempted without the appropriate safety procedures in place. Remember, clever filming/editing helps to assist these without compromising certain illusions.

  • Just a regular day for a spotter, then.

  • @EqualityScotland Best answer I've had so far!

  • Is the Morris Minor yours?

  • @easta007 Yes, she is

  • All and all, even if you ate cow pie on the way. *lmao XD* It was worth it for that one glamorous shot. :)

Though, I'm preying that you did this (4:36) with fancy equipment! Well mister, what do you have to say for your self. |:s

  • @steamie58 Of course, it was only a split screen. Nobody would be daft enough to let someone lay on the track while a train is coming

  • OMG

  • This is one of those shorts where you watch it and are envious of those who got to participate in the filming of it, because, to be a part of such a great short is really something you'd love to get to claim to fame. Still a fantastic short, dude. Great job!
