More from the only REAL DIY reality show - The Do It Yourself Virgin at http://www.doityourselfvirgin.com

I finally finished replacing our old chain-link fence with a new wood one and I'm thrilled with how good it looks and how sturdy it is. We used the old chain link fence posts to support the new cedar planks. Now that the fence is finished, it's time to build the gates... maybe I'll take a few days off first.

This is some of the raw video, but now that the project is done I'll edit together a complete highlight video, including some demo's of a few new (and old) tools and some details that might help you with your next project around the house.

  • Hate to make fun of your tools, but honestly... you need to get the Makita drill/driver combo kit. I've got the 3.0Ah ones, and two people I've worked with have the 1.5Ah versions. Everyone is happy with them. Milwaukee also has a good combo set, but not quite as many features. Still very respectable, though. You're only making yourself miserable using cheap tools. If you want to do any substantial DIY work, you should really do yourself a favor and buy decent quality stuff.

  • Looking good.!
