@2PieceNaBiscut actually it wasn't "THAT" kind of thinking that had anything to do with my thumb coming off. For sarters i was 7 years old when that happened as i have said in many messages before to you and 2 others not sure why you are all so focussed on that instead of the content in the videos that you all keep commenting on it doesn't bother me when people ask about it but i've repeatedly addressed that, now lets move on. not mad just not addressing this all the time either

@upallnight888 had on eye protection and i kept it away from my skin. I have gotten some of it on my skin before and never gotten "freeze burned" by it, just had a cold spot on my skin from it is all.

You need to close the tapper on the can before yanking the hose fitting off. You're lucky that when the refrigerant came flying out of the can you didn't get a freeze burn on any of your skin or you eyes. That's why professional use eye protection when working with refrigerant.
I am sure you already know this by now but the compressor was running in this video ever since you started the engine. The clutch was turning in the middle of the compressor. I have the same engine in my Yukon and the A/C also leaks but mine leaks from the rear A/C lines that go to the back of the truck. We are going to cap off the rear A/C soon and just use the front.

@compdude957 yeah i am thinking mine are plugged up for the rear air but for some reason i can still get cold air out of the rear just not out of the front thinking about taking the thing to have it vaccumed down and leak checked

@daddytech That would be a good idea. When the freon gets low in my truck the rear A/C still blows cold but the front stays warm. I heard its because the freon lines that go to the rear A/C have more time to cool down since it has longer lines going to it than the front A/C. Once we re-charge it blows ice cold again through front and back A/C vents and lasts about 2 months.

@compdude957 same here and i don't drive my truck but maybe 5 miles a day which is both sad and disappointing so i need to do something. thanks for the comments. Ya got me thinking... this is the very reason i love you tube! :o)

Someone told me to take out all the pressure from the a/c until the gauge read 0 then add the freeon, is that true? Never read a label that said that. Do I empty it, then fill it up or just plug it in, refill and Im done? If after I am finish the can, what does it mean if the gauge needle still moves up and down from the bottom of the blue all the way to the top of the blue (Blue=Filled / 25-45 psi) When I plug in the gauge, the pressure goes up and down on the blue (filled) is it safe to add?

@EICM1975 no you don't drain anything out unless you are replacing part of the system and usually if it's in the blue you are good it's when you hit the red that you could have problems depending on which guage you are talking about. there are several different guages you can get for these things some more accurate than others i used just the hose in this video because i knew mine was way low due to a leaky valve stem whichi replaced shortly after this video and put in 1 more 1/2 can of coolant
