I may not have the great education that you seem to tout... But I offer you this. To me, the lyrics of this song were way ahead of their time. but also i disagree that people glorify the period, and frankly in many ways the music was glorious, I wasnt alive back then myself, but as i gained (here it comes ) experience I realize how good it was.

as for the eras, while the 60s were rife with social issues, there are many days id take those problems over the shitpile we live in now.
