@Rosina57NZ I think most people watching this in Chile would get that its not authentic. For starters, all of the performers are continental Chileans rather than Rapa Nui and secondly, as you point out, it looks like a cheesy floor show. There are many Chilean folkloric groups both in Chile and abroad who try and present Rapa Nui culture in a more authentic manner. However, travelling to Rapa Nui to learn from the masters is probably very cost prohibitive for many.
@CASJ25 - The dance is not authentic - the movements are not original.Its a floor show, so not a true reflection of Rapanui culture. Its probably well intended, but ghastly all the same.

No offence intended, but this is just awful, an insult to the people of Rapa Nui. The singing is lovely but the dance is truly awful.
