Van Son Holland Ink Corp. of America (Mineola, NY) has introduced its Quick-Mix program, which incorporates an ink-dosage system, the IDS 2002, modeled after the paint-mixing systems found in hardware retailers such as Home Depot. The onsite ink-dosing system holds basic Pantone colors in 12 independent, pneumatically driven cylinders. Each dosing unit has a coarse and fine setting so operators can extract only the amount of ink they need.
