A reverent, highly entertaining rockumentary on The Sx Pstls, and clearly a labour of love for director Jlen Tmple, drawing on recovered footage, candid interviews with all concerned and cuts from his classic Pstols film The Grt Rck Swndle
If Jhnny Rtten's comment 'we managed to offend all the people we were fucking fed up with' was a yardstick for success then The Sex Pistols were quite possibly the most successful British band - ever.

Jlen Tmple first documented the band in 1980 in The Grat Rck'n'Rll Swndle, a film constructed largely from the point of view of mercurial manager Mlcolm McLren. The Flth and Fry provides a more historical perspective directly from the members of this anarchistic band - Johnny Rtten (vocals), Stve Jnes (guitar), Pul Ck (drums) and original member Gln Mtlock and his successor Sd Vcious (bass). It contains never before seen footage, including an extended interview with the late Vcious.

Rare live footage is also featured, including some of the Sx Pstls' biggest hits, 'Gd Sve the Queen', 'Prtty Vcnt' and 'Anrchy in U.K.'. "This film depicts the Sx Psols as it really was, not how you wanted it to be," says Jhn Lydn (aka Jhnny Rtten.) Expect copious amounts of drugs, sex and strong, strong language

  • Sid had gorgeous courtroom sketches.

  • These guys had to know they were the circus freak show and had absolutely no talent as musicians. Most of the viewers came to that conclusion soon. They may have lasted longer and even made some financial gains had they acknowledged their real identity as freak performers and not as musicians.

  • Man heavy stuff around 4.31. That really hurts to see and hear that. His facial facial expression and tone of voice says it all. Rip Sid. They were all so happy at the start of the tour. But it ended tragedly.

  • so glad they came back years later, i saw them in 2007 and it was brill x

  • i hope mclaren put plenty of firefighting equipment in his coffin, theres going to be a lot of flames where hes gone.

  • @S3xPyst0l Actually used for its true purpose, diamorphine(heroin) is an incredibly powerful analgesic(painkiller) which brings relief to the pain associated with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Its the ABUSE of it which is not beneficial, not the proper USE of it;) Same with any drug, or anything at all.

  • I think Sid was right about being the "last one with anarchy left in him." There was a little too much of it in him, really.

  • ull get 1 number nd 1 number only cuzz ima lazy bastard

  • @SSEanBarr ...nohing like an ugly truth to set the record straight. But it was so long ago that now it has become meaningless. The world keeps changing.

  • R.I.p. Sid.

  • @bunburyZ well at least she knows for sure you're not gay lol

  • fuck Malcolm mclauren

  • @razzberry82 Yeah, that last moment when Johnny cries. "I've lost my friend"

That hurts. He's still hurting. It doesn't stop.

  • @bunburyZ Is your mom scared of nipples?

  • I used to idolise Sid at 13, now I'm 18 I realise the last bit of his life was a fuckin nightmare

  • @bunburyZ A BIT YOUNG EH?

  • "Vicious. Poor sod."

  • @desasterz

    coo-coo! coo-coo! coo-coo!

  • We're all evil. All fallen image barers of god. We are all siners by nature and I think one of the things that went threw Johnny's head was "weres the justice?" one of the worst things we do is portray ourselves as good people. You just end up making up stupid rules. "I don't wast my money on drugs" How much money did you spend on a big house with a lush lawn and a fence miles away from the rest of the world?Making excuses for your mistakes, ridding the rooms of arguement, never waching the news?

  • how often do we get heart-wrenching emotional truth out of music celebrities? Johnny is showing us that he is as human and in-sightful as the best of 'em! And he is hitting it on the head when he says that he was too young.......Poor Sid was only just-turned 21 when his mum gave him the OD-Hit, as a loving and caring Mum who was also a junky, and who knew as NO ONE ELSE COULD KNOW, what Sid had been put through in Riker's....She did what she felt best based on her heart, and I forgive her R.I.P

  • @Xiolablu3 fair play to him if he did. even though it had the knock on effect of sid dying, but i think sid was too far gone and wouldnt have survived the real world. he went down as a legend though, rightly so

  • You think John killed Nancy to try asnd save his friend?

Unlikely I know, but Just a thought.
