just came across this vid. Really cool riff.

I have the identical guitar. The block allows for that FAT sound and I love it. Not my best playing guitar, but certainly among my favorites for overall tone and sound. I play it thru a Fender Deluxe Reverb with a single channel Blackstar HT overdrive tube pedal. You can get everything from Kenny Burrell to Keith Richards. For anyone considering a semi-acoustic, the 137 is a great value.

Thanks for the kind comment. Yes the 137 is a very versatile guitar although I wish I had a Fender Deluxe Reverb, that is a great amp.

I picked up my reverb about 3 years ago, NEW for $640.00. Not sure what they sell for these days. What amp are you playing thru?? Sounds good. Tube in the box is a 12ax7, btw.

agreed! plus im not crazy about guitars that "play themselves" you know? i want a more physical connection with the guitar, i want to appreciate it.

Yea, mate... the Fender is a good amp... I used to play with cheaper amps, but found that it was worth it to buy a good amp, because; to play a great guitar thru a cheap amp is just wrong..lol. The Reverb amp has a nice wide range of sounds. Nothing beats a tube amp, and the Blackstar pedal carries an ax12, I believe. So, the compression is all tube. Spring reverb is the best, too.
