The aquarium in the lobby of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin. A million liters of saltwater, thousands of fish and 13 million Euros spent for the aquarium alone. Opened up 2003.
What an enormous waste of time, money, and energy. I read in CORAL magazine that electricity to the pumps used to operate this tank cost $185,000 USD/ month.
As an American who loves geography, I can tell you that it is appalling how little most American's know about our world. Everybody uses GPS to get everywhere, and no one knows how to use a map anymore. As a result, most people don't even know how to navigate their own cities. It's terrible.
Is it bullet proof???
