Im not muslim or hindu, I dont think that religions are to be blame for female opresion. Where ever there is poverty there is ignorance, and usually the whole idea of the men being in control is taught. Im latin decent, and in poor rural areas the same thing happens, women are taught to serve their husbands and children. While the men is ther provider and leader of the home. In conclusion, don't point finguers at religions & this happens all around the world.
