I don't blame him for what he did. I think I would have done the same thing. A person can only take so much. I have wanted to b*tch-slap a lot of fellow passengers on flights myself. I'm surprised he didn't do it sooner (it did take 20 years before he snapped, let's give him some credit, and he was going through a lot at the time...).
