(unless you go into the whole thing about the name being swapped and the claw mask fighter's original name was Balrog, the boxer's name was Mike Bison, and the dictator's name was Vega in the japanese version)

@S0ryiu it probably does and I don't dispute this, but Vega is a disambiguation from an Arabic phrase translated into Roman for the star Alpha Lyris, Lyra being the Lyre, but was depicted in Arabian skies as a vulture. The original phrase was something like "the landing vulture", translated awkwardly by ancient Roman astronomers as "the swooping eagle".
