Gas Gauge Cluster Swap, Cheap Electric Fans

This video is showing my 1997 Dodge 3500 Diesel. I got a gauge cluster from a truck with a gas motor. The factory diesel cluster only goes to 4000RPM but the gas clusters show up to 6000RPM. It is a direct swap and all other gauges function normally. I got the gauge cluster from a junkyard for $75. I found others that were $50 but they were pretty far away so I just got this one for $75.
The second part of the video is showing my cheap electric fan setup. I got them out of 2 Ford Taurus' at a junkyard for $20 each. I just used the stock taurus shroud. We had to trim them a little to get them to fit. As you can see in the video they are just mounted with several large zip ties. They move a lot of air and do a great job of cooling the truck after a pull.

The fans work very well. Its a great option if youre on a budget. I think they work just as well as the $550 flex a lite kit.

SootKing - I just wired them up on two seperate toggle switches with an inline fuse for each fan.

Correct. Most of them will only rev to about 2800-3000 or so with the stock governor springs. Im running a 5,000 RPM spring kit from Columbus Diesel.

looks good, how and where exactly did you wire the fans into, just thru a switch and jam a wire in the fusebox or what?

the redline for a 12V cummins is govern to 3K - unless you added 4k spring?
