Veronica Avalos tells in LA conference how Dr Daoud saved her life of terminal cancer
In October 1999 I was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Medianstinum Lymphoma with Lung Involvement. It was inoperable and the tumor was connected to my aorta, esophagus and every major organ in that area. My doctors informed me that there was nothing that could be done for me due to the severeness of my illness. All they were offering is hospital care. They said that I would be dead before Christmas. I was devastated and felt cheated by life. I left the hospital about a week later to go home basically to die.
When I first met Rached I wasn't really concentrated on him because I was hooked up to IVs and was using oxygen to breathe and extremely tired. In addition, I was preoccupied with my children's future and trying to figure out what had to be done before I died. Rached told me to always try to have a positive attitude and be happy because if I began to despair the cancer would take over. There were days that I wanted to die, but Rached words always came back to me and pulled me through it. I always tried to find the positive side of having cancer, something that Rached taught me. My doctors were amazed at my attitude and felt it played an important part in my recovery. After Rached and I spoke he told me he was going to show me. I had no idea what me meant. He hugged me very close to his body and I felt very safe and in state of euphoria. It felt like nothing I have never experienced before except in Rached's presence. After he finished I vomited, as I did frequently, but this was the first time there was no blood in my vomit. My night nurse was amazed. I was told later that Rached had moved my body in all different positions and had pressed hard on a two-day incision that was five inches long. My husband told me he thought I was going to scream, but I just laid there. He also told me Rached healed me for about an hour and I felt that it was a matter of minutes. Rached told that I had to continue western medical, but that I would live and the cancer would go away. That night was the first night in months that I was able to sleep on my back and to sleep the night through. I had not been able to lie on my back because the tumor weighed heavy on my chest and restricted my breathing. When I went back to the doctors a few days later they were confused at my x-rays. They said that the tumor had shrunk. I knew it was Rached, but the doctors said a lot of different things could have happen. They would not believe in Rached, which angered me. I saw Rached a few days later after our first meeting and as before I felt so much better. Rached told me that he had to leave the country, but that he would be there for me if I needed him. I did survive and fooled all the doctors. The only problem that existed was my lungs had been very damaged by the cancer and I had to use oxygen for the rest of my life. My lung capacity was 43%. I saw Rached a couple of years after my initial meeting and I had 3 or 4 healing session with him it was January. In October of the previous year I had had my last test PFT's done (Pulmonary Function Test) and I was still in the low 40's. After my sessions with Rached in January I requested to be re-tested. My lung capacity had increased to 64%. I now no longer take steroids and do not oxygen. I believe that Rached is truly a man of God and that he was put on this earth to aid people. He works as a tool from Christ, which enables us to heal ourselves. I think that I would not be here to tell my story if it wasn't for Rached. I knew the first night I met him that he was something special. Rached is my angel on earth and he is never far from my thoughts. He tells me I am in his thoughts and that he always knows how I am doing. Knowing that makes my life easier. I feel I have God on my side.
