  • @hackajim that's risky though. There's always the guys who will read literally what's on the card.

  • im thinking instant stooge. NOT plants but the card would say something like "insert your name here,.. at insert your table number here, will be eating ****** " so a truly random person says the correct thing.

  • @jzstyles Actually, no. He would have different sets of envelopes depending on where she chose to put each meal. He knows where each meal is placed and what number each is at. Notice he doesn't have the envelopes visible until after the men are chosen and on stage.

Once he has the correct envelopes, all the guys have to do is read what's on the card and insert their own name.

  • @LouisLazaris table and food would need to be right too though....

  • Man that Wayne guy looks like Wayne Houchin with a beard.

  • @LouisLazaris i think u might have it... otherwise, its anybody's guess

  • @undergroundo At the very least, he certainly should have had P & T choose a random woman from the audience... but he didn't, which leads me to suspect that the woman might have been in on it... just a thought

  • My guess is that all of them were plants. I mean how many people go to a show with a baseball cap on?

  • @Yevdokiya ok.

    sounds reasonable.

  • @CT2507 Penn & Teller have explained the adjudication process of Fool Us in multiple interviews. Johnny Thompson has also spoken about his role as the judge for Fool Us in an interview (actually about Teller's show, Play Dead). As a follower of magic, I know how the trick is done, and it's no more based on "cheating" than any other trick. It does not require the magician to make arrangements with any participants before the show, and Penn & Teller could have chosen the participants themselves.
