@cohn6432 You're maybe thinking of Altered Images' "Happy Birthday", which is from 1981, so the same era.

Does anyone one know the name of the song where, (I think it's her), she sings the words "Happy Birthday" in it? I've been searching for it and can't find it anywhere. The last time I heard it was in the lobby of a hotel in Seattle last August. If it's not her, then maybe Siouxie and the Banshees?
