Everyone just about finishes dessert and Mr. Lovato asks everybody to go into the living room.

Selena- *looks over at Demi and whispers* I'm nervous all over again, why are the Jonas' here?
Demi- *whispers back* I have no clue.
Mr. Lovato- *stands up and clears his throat* you kids are probably wondering why we've suddenly invited you for dinner, well there's more to this dinner then you think.
Joe- *raises his hands* Umm, sir,
Mr. Lovato- Joe, you don't have to raise your hands this isn't a classroom
Nick- *whispers* Hah, such a loser
Joe- *glares at Nick for a split second and then looks up at Mr. Lovato* Uhh, I was wondering if your gonna tell us why we're all here and what was so important about this dinner because you all seem to be avoiding the question..
Selena- *buts in* Yeah, me and Demi were just wondering the same thing
Mr. Lovato- If you kids would let me finish I was gonna get to that.*smiles a little* Like I was saying, *suddenly becomes serious* this dinner is very important because two of you are going to become closer then you think.
Demi- How close?
Mr. Lovato- Very close.
Selena- Close close? Or just close?
Nick- Close close close, or just the regular close?
Mrs. Jonas-*in a stern voice* Nick, that's enough.
Nick- *looks down* Sorry mom, I just wanted to know how close..
Selena- *giggles*
Mr. Lovato- *shakes his head* Like I was saying before, two of you children are going to get CLOSE CLOSE
Joe- *aggravated* Can you just tell us what's going on already?
Demi- *annoyed* Dad, I'm getting confused, spit it out!
Mr. Lovato- *frowns at his daughters attitude* Alright, Joe, Demi you two are getting married.
Demi- *shocked* SAY WHAT?!
Mr. Lovato- Your getting married to Joe.
Selena, Nick and Joe- *speechless*
Demi- *mad* I'M GETTING MARRIED?!
Mrs. Lovato- *upset* Demi, calm down please
Demi- *mad* Mom, dad! Your kidding me right?! I don't even know this person! How do you expect me to marry a stranger?!
Mr. Lovato- *shakes his head* Demi, please. We've already made up our minds.
Demi- *on the verge of tears* Mom if your getting me back for the prank call a few days ago this isn't funny at all.
Mrs. Lovato- *feels sorry for her daughter* I'm sorry sweetie. We've already made up our minds.
Demi-*sits there speechless*
Joe- *mad* Mom, didn't you teach me not to talk to strangers?
Mrs. Jonas- *confused with Joe's question* Yes, hunny I did teach you that, why?
Joe- Then why am I MARRYING A STRANGER!?
Mr. Jonas- *steps in* Listen you two, you might be mad and confused now but you have no choice and that's final!
Demi and Joe exchange glances at each other and then Demi runs out the room and outside.
Mrs. Lovato- *calls after her daughter* Demi, where are you going?
Selena- *gets up* It's ok mom, I'll go after her.
Joe- *grabs Selena's arm* No, I'll go.
Selena- *Nods* Fine
Joe walks outside running after Demi
he finally catches up with her*
Joe-*in between breaths* Demi, stop!
