MUSIC HAS NO COUNTRY, it has only ears, no eyes, no politics, just joy, if everyone just LISTENED, we would probably have a better world
-
CAN EVERYONE JUST LISTEN TO MUSIC AND SHUTUP, damn

@BelfastAtheist Your hatred of America blinds you. South Korea is one of the largest economies in the world. It's citizens enjoy a freedom the average Vietnamese citizen only dreams of. If you Leftists were on the side of the West during the Vietnam war, Vietnam would have an economy comparable to South Korea. Thanks to the ideology you subscribe to, Communist Asia's Bill Gates is probably toiling barefoot in a rice paddie somewhere living on a dollar a day.

Out of curiousity, do you defend what America (And France..) did in Vietnam? The Chemical Warfare that still creates Children born without eyes today for example? The complete destruction of the Vietnamese Economy for generations to come, which was infact the ultimate War Aim? The refusal of the U.S to build a monument to the tens of thousands they murdered? If not hundreds of thousands.

The songs Felix and his crew made take me back to my childhood!! LOL Great great songs!! Like many artists of this era, they are REAL performers. When you hear them live, they are playing THEIR music! Just the way we remember it sounded on the 45!! LOLOL It was a simpler, better time for my family. Maybe for a lot of other people too! There is no music, or group like this today. The message they tried to convey with this song in particular still rings true today,...."PEOPLE GOT TO BE FREE!!"

I was born the week this song placed number one at the Billboards Top 100, on September 1968, and it was number one for 5 consecutive weeks!

Great video. saw Rascals in 1969 at UMass Amherst after we traveled from Springfield to the Boston area, a summer theatre concert that was cancelled. It was worth the wait.
Age 60, still enjoy the music
This is not a beatles song. I was there when the beatles knocked out the Beach Boys @ Huntington Beach, Ca.
The Beatles hit before I went into the Army.
I am 65 years old but still remember the 60's. And the War songs. Like "where have all the children gone"
I loved the 60's and now I am them.

What an amazing statement these lyrics make. Too bad the message has gotten lost. This song rose to the top of the charts in meteoric fashion. Thanks for the trip back down memory lane.
