  • I have to say that Ridge Racer V footage looked alot cleaner and sharper than the one i'm played on HDTV with component cable and it still looked very jaggy.

The reason might be that I got EU version which runs at 576i PAL not 480i NTSC it not gonna

    look as good.

I heard PAL system was rubbish both sound and picture quality compared to NTSC.

  • he looks young as fuck

  • Madden and NHL 2001 were the first games I got for this console.

  • @lazrpo "Specs"? Polygons are what's being rendered. Aliasing depends on the accuracy and resolution used to render a scene. You can have a game like Minecraft with MINIMAL polygon count and play it in a high resolution and you will not see any aliasing. And you can play a game on current consoles that has a much higher polygon count and it will be full of jaggies because the resolution is 720p. Try Gears 3 without motion blur.

He was making shit up, plain and simple.

  • @SuckItLily Technical specs weren't widely available at the time, so you pretty much just nodded your head and said "neat" when you heard stuff like that.

  • Lol, what a random topic. If you want to play a DVD on a japanese playstion 2 in America. Haha.

  • He has a been in the gaming world a long time that's for sure.

  • @SuckItLily harsh!

  • @BorisGaquere You think he said something that is simply false, to please people who don't even know what he was talking about? No, I think he got awfully close to the "non-gamer audience" in that bit, by pretending to know technical facts that he simply didn't. He's always about gameplay and will back casualized, gimmicky games like the Fable sequels. I appreciate that he is trying to bring sort of a mature level of discourse to the medium but he should be ashamed of this appearance.

  • @SuckItLily i think he watered it down for a non-gamer audience
