I just can't handle any footage of Colm Wilkinson as The Phantom. All I hear is Jean Valjean. I keep waiting for him to start singing "Bring Him Home".......
-
but I must admit that the original phantom sang Music of the Night much better then Colm!!

I always wondered how they would perform it, but seeing it in London has proved its possible! :D

Damn, all of a sudden the Phantom became Valjean
-
"Before you say another word Christine!..." wait, I'm mixing him up with 2 roles. Stick to the one you perfected with Colm ;)

This piece of footage was filmed for a special production about celebrating Musicals theatre. It was called 'Hey Mr Producer'. The reason why The Phantom (Colm Wilkinson) Has a beard is because later on that evening he portrayed the Role Of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, where the beard is needed for that character. This piece of footage was also also filmed at the 'lyceum theatre' in London. :)

why the dicks does he have a goatee?....and chub?

Nothing beats the live version

I went to see it at the Pantages and it was amazing. But with a different cast.

@koollegomovies that Phantom who is fat and has facial hair is Colm Wilkinson, a legend, and was actually the 1st person to ever play the Phantom (he portrayed him at Sydmonton before Phantom even opened at Her Majesty's and the Majestic). he has gone on to play the Phantom plenty of times originated him in Canada and originated the role of Jean Valjean for Les Miserables. I think what he has accomplished speaks for itself.

@koollegomovies because this isn't from Pantages. This is for Hey Mr. Producer!, a tribute or like something for Mr. Cameron Mackintosh. I think that's how you spell his name. And that's Colm Wilkinison and he had facial hair because he was going to sing Les Miserables later, and that character had facial hair.
Thats wonderful, hope you enjoy the show. We will have a discount code soon for discounts on future events and would also love to hear your feedback on the show.
Enjoy
