8,000RPM - Can You Read The Tach this Time?

Alright - everybody comment that a BBC will not rev to 8k. Please. And if you can, be rude about it too. Thanks!

It's not the original tach - it's an electronic tach from a newer Corvette. The tach has been calibrated in my car. Please stop asking if it is the stock tach!!!!

there was a video a while back of a nova that had a BBC if i am not mistaken and it went to like 10k rpm. i could be wrong. if enough money is spent anything is possible for one run. it could be done i am sure but will it last prob not. good video any way. the moon sticker one was great !

700 hp @ 8000 rpm on a 540 pretty lite I have a shafiroff ss 540 93 pump gas engine makes 785 hp At 6500 better get a autometer tach I'd put money on it that stock tach is way off

@540merlin What does blowing up your engines have anything to do with the fact that this is a built engine. Plenty of OEM cars spinning to 8000rpm with warranties. Your point?
