A rotifer is feeding on green algae. The video was shot using the digital camera Cannon IXUS 70 through the eyepiece of a compound microscope by 400x magnification.

  • Where do you culture the rotifer.

You can also visit my YouTube sepangstac. for more micro-organism

  • @sepangstac I don't culture rotifers. I found this animal in the water we collected for culturing cladocerans. Thanks for your information; your channel is very interesting.

  • I recognize three algae types: Chlorella, Scenedesmus, and Gonium (or Pandorina). Since all of these algae live in freshwater, your cladocerans are probably Daphnia, Simocephalus, or Ceriodaphnia (which are commonly aquacultured freshwater cladocerans). The algae is meant as feed for the culture. And the rotifer is Colurella. Right?

  • Nice ,Marine rotifer correct?
