@aeondesign yup, it's just an eraser. If you do a quick search on the web for
old crow's synth shop: cleaning the keyboard contacts
you will will see the instructions i followed.

While the removal of the rubber cups and cleaning examples are nice - how about showing us the first part? Like opening the synth, removing the keys and circuit board.
