I caught up with Lane Garrison today outside of the International House Of Pancakes on Wilshire in the Miracle Mile District. The "Prison Break" star had his own run in with the law and prison as a result of a drunk driving accident in which one of his teenage passengers lost his life.

The incident landed Lane in jail for 22 months, which he was released in April of 2009, and is still finishing out his 4 years of parole. We spoke with him about his time in prison, and he said he feels blessed and lucky to have made it out alive. When I asked him if he felt filming Prison Break could have prepared him in any way for what real prison had in store for him, he said no way, and gave comparisons between real life prison, and the prison set he worked on. He also revealed that he will soon be doing work on NBC's hit show, "The Event".

  • yea and guess what his parents WILL NEVER get to see their son again but i bet they appreciate what lane done and apologized and admitted that he done wrong. and yes an apology wont bring their son back but not many people will confess and admit they done wrong in times like these. lane shouldnt of ever been drinking and driving but he did and it was wrong. if lane could relive the past he would of never been drinking and driving and he would take back what he did..once again my opinion...

  • @MrAl3 He paid for it??? Serving less than 40 MONTHS for murdering a 17 year old boy is "paying for it"?? That boy's parents will never see their son again because this asshole DECIDED to drink and drive. And he gets to come back after a quick stay in jail and go back to LaLa land in Hollywood, acting and going to parties. Living his life free. This scum should have been locked up for 10-15 years.

  • My Respects for this guy!! He made a terrible mistake, he admitted it, paid for it, and now he takes the time to share his experiences and to advise people not to go down the same path. If only we could all learn from our mistakes the way Lane has. You can tell he is really sorry for what he did and it's something that will stay with him for the rest of his life!!

  • RESPECT for Lane!

  • Really nice interview, i really like this guy !
