@9393zach You can't use a model F around most people, it's just too loud. I love it though. Has one of the best feel of IBM keyboards. Although the "beamspring" keyboards are even better, I don't own one.

@raymangold22 Didn't know that, lol. Mine always seemed pretty nice.. it looks sorta like that, but it feels better than my other rubber dome. I still like my Model M best though.
What's it like using a Model F today?

I like the sound of the clicking. if I was tired, i'd choose to fall asleep to it. something about the click, i like it..it puts me at ease and will make me sleep...weird huh?

@MakazMook These were manufactured from 2000 and onwards. Very cheap things.

@9393zach Model Fs are actually a lot more clackier (and since the switches are capacitive, it allows for NKRO).
You can adapt a Model F terminal keyboard with USB so it can be used with any regular computer.
Model Ms are nice too (rescued a mint '86 one from being trashed).
The rubber dome displayed in this video may be even below average. There are actually different versions of it, the last revision is absolutely awful, very low quality rubber membrane.

I like how the ear buds indicate you have clean ears. Very good.

That is NOT a buckling spring (clicky keyboard).
It's a rubber dome. I have one JUST like it. They're good for rubber domes, but they're not as good as a model M. Look for the beast. :P
