the 3do and the cdi system looks like a old vcr but despites their hich price,few games and poor marketing,they deserved to compeat against nintendo and sony. daam i din,t knew annything about 3d till in 1995 with the psx demo,it,s a shame that the n64 was cartride based,no wonder those games din,t look spectaculair nor oke.

I think most of you never played this system because for its time it was amazing. This came out long before the original Playstation, and it was the most advanced home console ever made. Of course it looks like crap now, but in 1993 this was the shizzle. It blew the SNES and Genesis out of the freaking water, and the one kid I knew who had made lots of friends during that time!
Thats true, people who never owned the consoles or didn't grow up with the right and best games for them will easly say "darrrh it sucked". In a 100 years it won't really matter if psx sold 2 or 200 million. But in saying that it also won't matter if you said "darrrh 3do 32X sega cd jaguar sucked" cause youll be dead and nothing really mattered all along..
From a gameplay standpoint it was crap. It blew the SNES and Genesis out of the water in what way? SNES was outselling this bloated box years after it was rightly discontinued. Anyone can throw together a game system with off-the-shelf hardware; no good games + high price point = failure. Just look at the PS3.
It's too bad you needed your parents to buy you an expensive game console to get people to come over to your house to pretend they were your friends.
