  • I add my wholehearted agreement to the remarks of those below. These pieces are a most unusual phenomenon - the rendering of music for one instrument, the lute, into the idiom of another, the harpsichord. Further, the music - mostly of the Gauthiers - had been composed a full generation earlier for an instrument, and in a style, which had already by D'Anglebert's time become unfashionable - and this in a time when the need of being fashionable drove all of culture. This was a sincere tribute!

  • The echo is part of the music just as the echo is part of the organ music in any important church.

without it you are missing the richness of the instrument. Enjoy the sensuality of the echo.

  • This is indeed a wonderful harpsichord recording, very musical and interesting, with a great sound.

  • i like it. too much echo-cho-ho-o...

  • Lovely playing - you really make the harpsichord sing!!

    - Very interesting, these unpublished manuscript pieces!!

    Thanks a lot, Paola!!

  • Erdas looks sexxxy at the harpsichords.

  • Who built this harpsichord? It sounds wonderful!
