I did a small experiment. Cheap vs Expensive Shampoo. The Cheap Shampoo did just as good a job as the Expensive Shampoo in making my hair shiny and managable as the Very Expensive! I know the Expensive is wonderful shampoo but we are all trying to save money where we can.

  • WOW! I personally use LUSH products which are all natural. Unfortunatly for me I have thick and crazy hair. I have picky hair VO5 makes my hair gummy... The lush products will run about $20.00 for a shampoo and conditioner. Great video! I love doing comparisons

  • @AmberEmancipated I need to get myself over to the LUSH site. Everyone raves about it but I have never bought from there.

    Thanks for the comment. Smooches

  • i feel bad that you paid that much for the one and it works as good as a 1$ shampoo :( but i guess its good that now you know that you can buy great products for cheap. do you still like the VO5?

  • @LilMakeUp I really do still like VO5 and use it often.

    Thanks for the comment. xo

  • I'm a hairstylist of 25 yrs & I've always told my clients to not spend much on anything that you wash down the drain. It's not on you hair or face long enough to really make a difference. Same for face cleansers. Just use whatever you like to get it clean--that's the point. No shampoo can give your hair volume--only a product that stays in your hair can do that.

  • Wow, $165...I am so obviously a college student. XD I use V05 all the time, and it's great!

  • Thank you so much for your video! I am so glad to see a beautiful 50+! I am 57 and I need your advice and humor!

  • great video!!!

  • Thanks for the review and for saving us $165! lol I tried Kerastase before and didn't particularly care for it. I actually like Aussie, Pantene, V05, Suave... etc better.

  • I found that out a long time ago. Totally agree with you. Good markering males us believe almost anything. Not to mention the celebrity pressure.

  • i love that your unique and you use expensive and cheap products to compare then your viewers can know what to use & not feel bad when its too expensive to buy the high end products and want them

  • You said something about Kool-Aid and Prell?? Please explain, I am so curious now!

  • I dont think wella is good. I like tigi "dumb blonde" or "headshot". Very good stuff!

  • Shampoos with sulfate can eventually dry your hair out. So sometimes it's worth it to buy a more expensive shampoo. You don't need to wash your hair everyday with it. So it last longer. I heard that using baking soda and vinegar can be good for your hair. It's sulfate free and cheap.

  • Your Pretty :)

  • The key is to look for the ingredient: sodium laureth sulfate. It makes the shampoo harsher than it needs to be. If it makes a lot of suds it has this ingredient. I use Aveda and get very little lather, It cleans without stripping. there are other shampoos with out it but not many.
