In this segment of Palestine Studies, author and journalist Max Blumenthal discussed the Israeli demonstrations that began on the summer of 2011. Protesters gathered and built encampments to call attention to high housing prices and costs in general. Blumenthal analyzed the July 14th movement and its relation to the Palestinian question.

@izaccy Yet how many of those stories of Israeli deaths do you see in the media compared with Palestinian deaths? You see articles in the New York Times worded as "8 dead in Israeli Raid", but never something like "Israel responds to Palestinian shelling" The bias is always clear.
Oh and Israel may not drop schoolbooks on Gaza (sounds a bit dangerous lol) but they do drop thousands of leaflets before every airstrike and make thousands of phone calls and text messages.

@izaccy Of course, no one wants to see children die. As you imply, what does Israel gain from dead children? WHy would they want to kill children. CHildren dying, or any civilian dying for that matter in Gaza is the result of being held hostage by a fundamentalist group like Hamas in one of the most densely populated pieces of land in the world. What you see coming from the Palestinian side is the mass murder of an entire Israeli family in their sleep and targeting of Israeli school buses (cont)

@TheIDFman Well I agree you dont wanna fund Ahmed´s AK-47. but who said give money ?
NO dont give money, give books okay buy them and send them, dont send money, I never agreed to send money.
when that is said and done next time Israel is gonna bomb Gaza, I suggest you bombard them with books, especially science books and not rockets okay !
so they can forget about their backwards religion.
whats happen is everytime a child dies in gaza.. the child is an ad for Hamas
they shout allah akbur

@izaccy Oh and when we talk about charities having anything to do with Gaza for example, we are talking about many of the same organizers that put together The Holy Land Foundation, how did that one work out? ;)
Lets not forget Israel is one of the largest donators of Palestinian aid, what they don't appreciate is that International dollar meant for little Jamal's school books being utilized for Ahmed's AK-47. It happens more often than you think!

@izaccy I am suggesting that this ignorant belief that Israeli lobbying groups control American policy (with glints of antisemitism) is so misrepresented its astonishing. Are you suggesting that its normal for the UNHRC to rebuke Israel constantly, be seen as a legitimate criticizer of American/Israeli policy while being comprised of some of the most significant violators of human rights in the world? Not to mention the fact that Oil controls US policy more than anything, Israel has none.

@TheIDFman Anti-Israel media ? and Pro-Israel media
is definitely not something i am interested in.
but are you suggesting that Israeli lobbying groups, who dared BBC to organize a charity
for war stricken children in Gaza when the latest intifada was going on to not have been effective ?
I would argue they have been pretty effective in that sense, is just that they are now interested in
Pro-Israel Media, that focuses solely on their agenda.
I have no stake in Palestine or Israel.

@izaccy LOL, whats typical is your ignorance. The only people that have been frozen out of the anti-Israel mainstream media are brave Palestinians like Mudar Zahran, Mosab Hassan Yousef, and Ishmail Khaldi. Look them up!
