Anyone remember D.O.S? (Disk Operating System)

PART 1 of 2

I dug into my old-school games of early childhood, from when I was 2, through to about 8 years old. I'm absolutely stoaked to have rediscovered these old games, and I wanted to show you for your amusement too, should you have played these games too when you were younger.

Games include:
- Mother Goose
- Commander Keen
- Jones In The Fast Lane
- Captain Keen 1
- Rockford
- Lexi-Cross
- Wolfenstein 3D
- Ugh!
- The Lost Vikings
- Crime Wave
- Super Mario
- DuckTales: The Quest For Gold

PART 2 Includes:
- DA5 - "Direct Access 5"
- Prehistorik 2
- Lemmings
- Battle Chess
- California Games II
- Dune II
- MIDI Music Player
- The Incredible Machine

This has all been made possible using a DOS emulator from within Windows. Regardless of whether you are using a x86 or x64 operating system, DOSBox will run your DOS applications. Download it at:
http://www.dosbox.com/

Well, rate, comment, subscribe if you like. I want people out there to see this, and remember the good times before Windows. These were the real games.

  • For all of our generation great to think back to DOS. I installed Dosbox a few months ago and I could hardly stop playing my favorite games like Chopper, Jack Rabbit and Super Mario. All those memories are great!

You mentioned that you came from S.A.: Do your parents speak/understand "Afrikaans"?

  • Haha, DOSBox is amazing - so stoaked. Yes, my parents speak Afrikaans - do you? I never really learnt to speak it.

  • Man, you don't get nearly enough publicity.

    I think you're amazing lol.

  • Haha, thanks.
