Quantz - Sonata for flute, recorder and harpsichord (2/2). We have put this video on YouTube because it is one of our favorite pieces of music, having the rather unusual instrumentation of flute, recorder, and harpsichord. We enjoyed using our creativity to develop our own version of the piece through use of what we understand is appropriate Baroque performance practice. In particular, we believe that use of both the inégal technique described by Quantz in the first movement and ornamentation in the third movement add immensely to the performance. Almost certainly both of these practices would have been common for this music.

I'm learning flute and I love the baroque music. I'm going to play soon some piece of Telemann or another one. This piece I heard it's played beautifully. Thanks for the performance!

What a woundeful performance!
The fourth movement was so charming, but the true gem were the extempore variations on the Largo.
So rich and expressive!
Thanks for this marvellous performance! Greetings from Brasil.
