Golly's are the most awesome thing which happened to Robertson's, they are not racist at all. Although paddington bear is good I would like them to bring golly back!
-
It's a golly wog or a fuzzy wozzy
-
how could ya get upset over that, unless ya look like a fuckin gollywog.
-
well im black and ive never seen a golliwog until now
i dont think it was meant to be racist, its not even doing anything its just like...eating.
i can see how today this could make people mad though
-
It doesn't even look like a golliwog. I don't get the big deal.

@lillblomst84 shutup you cock, i never looked at a bottle of marmalade and oh look an "African american slave " oh how nice, i just saw a golliwog and thats all

when i was little and Floella Benjamin was on Playschool i didn't see a black woman, i just saw a woman
when i saw these adverts i didn't see a black man at all, i just saw a golliwog.
in the same way when i watched Rupert i knew bears don't really wear checked trousers and matching scarf

I've got a Golliwog my mum made me in the late 80's when I was about 5 loved it to bits and it's a shame that the pc brigade have to spoil what in essence is a child's toy

Additionally, you should actually read and learn about Golliwogs. Try looking up Golliwog on the internet, and read about the background.

The reason that people think Golliwogs are racist, is because they look like a african american 'slave' stereotype. We are more educated now to know that it isn't good to stereotype a group of people (passive racism), therefore Golliwogs are outdated.
Golliwogs were just innocent stuffed toys. All the claims of racism came since the world went mad with politically correctness.

I remember this advert, it was from around 1983 I think? Funny, trippy and very weird, lol he actually sticks the knife in his eye at 0:16.
Thanks for uploading this one, made me smile
