Theres a department in our government that works towards providing people with loans who need money to help them get through university for either living costs or tuition fee's... The principle is that everyone has the chance to go to university and not just the posh upper class kids whose parents can pay everything for them.

In order to get the loan there is endless paperwork that you must fill in but the company seemingly always looses the forms you send to them,

1/5 usually have problems

Yep they keep saying I haven't sent things. I sent my birth cirtificate twice. One of the times I got my birth cirtificate, but also someone elses birth cirtificate AND their parents divorce papers.

They then expected me to send it back on £5 safe post even though it was their fault. Fuck off.

I've already sent everything twice and still they say they havn't got them, even though they send letters back with the things i've sent saying thankyou. I can see me not getting any money this year.

in the 4 years that i have requested finance they have messed up on 3 of the years... last year i had to go to my local LEA place and make them fix it there and then

Jeez Student Finance are so crap! They've got no better. We sent everything off and thought we could relax... Then I get an e-mail through saying I haven't sent any evidence. Now 2 months after they've still got my birth certificate - Which I need to enrol at college to prove my identity - and they have sent me more emails saying I haven't given them any evidence! I HATE THEM!!!

@landofmagicpies Yeah that's sort of what their doing to me know, coz I didn't send them a valid passport I had to send them my birth certificate with an id form and they sent me a letter the next week saying they hadn't got it but I sent them both by next day post so they have its just they can't be fecked looking through their paper work! I've now got 20 quid left in my bank and am no closer to getting my loan then I was about 3 months ago

the SLC are doing the best they can. Considering they have recived over 9000.00 applications and have got through most of them I think they have done rather well and take into comsidderation that they have to provide this service for the whole of the UK and parts of the EU to come on guys give them some room.
