@pancakes578 YAY! I'll carry on with my medical degree to work 48 hour shifts and am so so so happy to be paid the same as someone who picks up litter 2 hours a week! Yay for equality!
...
Honestly, kids today.

If people in that area didn't want a Tesco then they wouldn't shop there and it would close down. What we have here is a bunch of fascists, demanding their own way as usual. Sure the Police probably handled it poorly, because they haven't got a clue what they are for any more.

@PonaniKing indeed - and the protests were/are peaceful, with the obvious notable exception of the smashing of the shop front a few hours after this video was taken. The footage I've seen of the people who arrived in the earlier hours and committed the criminal damage didn't look like the same people who have been involved with the peaceful protests, actually calling them "protesters" *could* be misleading - seemed like dumb kids just wanting dumb kicks.

Not really democracy is it. Just pissed up people smashing stuff up.

@cranialbreather I could see no evidence of anything having been smashed up at this point - apart from this guy's head.

@cubelog Not the point was it though of police involvement, be honest. They received information that hinted the squat was being used as a base for an act of terrorism (look up definition then get back to me) using petrol bombs against the Tesco's. When they raided the squat, what did they find? A group of peaceful, loving humans living in a perfect commune of righteousness? Nope, they found petrol bombs and this angry gentleman.

@sk8rfella Thank you for your comment.
I can only say what I saw. I have no idea who this guy is, if he was in the squat, or what situation provoked the attack on him.
Personally, which it would appear you would like to get, I am opposed to violence, whatever the situation.
