You are very very wrong - it shouldn't need explaining. There are people who are gay and describe themselves as straight acting because of self-loathing, but the rest would watch this video and think WTF?

@canadaguy666 It's good you have agreed that you ashamed of being gay, I suppose that's what is common among supposedly 'straight-acting' gays that are even more homophobic than Rick Santorum, like yourself. Clearly there is no point in trying to educate an ignorant person with violent inclinations towards effeminate gays who seems particularly proud of his position on this subject. You have gone to prove the point that I made before about some 'straight-acting ' gays.

@phantomsuccour i'm not sure what you mean when describing masculinity as 'subjective', but i'll agree with you and say that masculinity is conflated with gender, which is subjective, and varies between socities, and within them. does this mean one must conform to gender norms of social behaviour? no, but you would be smart to!
and you're right, i don't have a fucking 'soul', and neither do you! it's gays like YOU who make me ashamed to be a gay man.
-
@phantomsuccour i don't have a violent disposition, but i lack sorrow for victims of assault who INTENTIONALLY appear feminine. if you get attacked SOLELY for being gay (i.e. by TRUE homophobes, who likely suppress their own latent homosexual inclination), i most certainly will express remorse, even indignation.
-
@phantomsuccour I'm familiar with the bio-psycho-social model, thanks. do you seem to understand that social behaviour (lets just say 'mannerisms') are varied across men, regardless of sexual preference? hetero men can be faggy too, and if they get their asses whooped for being so faggy, it's not a homophobic hate-crime--it's assault! wanna avoid the violence and bullying? stop acting faggy!
-
@canadaguy666 Furthermore, given that you seem quite amused by their 'fairy-asses' getting beaten for being 'socially offensive' i.e they do not conform to the norm, I would say that your violent inclinations towards effeminate gays show that some gays are not only homophobic against others, but harbour violent intentions and desires towards them. I would ask you to search within your soul to find out why you are so violent but that would mean you have one.
-
@canadaguy666 The fact that you believe every gay must be masculine (masculinity is subjective) proves that you are no different from the homophobes that demand that every male like females and every female like males. If you CANNOT get it through your thick skull that people can be different for all sorts of reasons and be accepting, then you are NO different from Rick Santorum and his gang of hateful fundamentalists.
-
@canadaguy666 You have proved my point EXACTLY!!! That even lgbt (I'm assuming that you are one) can be more homophobic than right wing evangelicals. Do you understand all the factors that determine people's behaviour? What about people that believe they were born into the wrong sex? You may not understand that hormones, genes and one's environment all play a role in determining how they end up behaving.
-
@phantomsuccour are you fucking kidding me? social behaviour (i.e. fagginess) is NOT innate. sexual behaviour (homosexuality) IS innate; this means that fags acting faggy are not impelled to behave that way. so if, as you write, those fairies do not "want to act that way", then they SHOULD NOT. don't cry 'homophobia' and 'hate crime' when your fairy asses get beaten for being SOCIALLY offensive.

There is more homophobia from the 'straight-acting' gay community than from some southern baptist churches. Do you really think all gays can be 'straight acting'? Don't you understand that effeminate men have existed for hundreds of years and not be cause they want to act that way.
flamers suck ass!

im not self loathing
the reason i dont really like the "flamer" type feminine gay guys is because they just annoy me. they are loud and overbearing (in my personal experience)
so its more of a personality clash than a self loathing issue.
i prefer a more masculine person.
