Why are we even having such a discussion with two religious representatives? It should be among the liberal-minded like Farish Noor, who actually understand the issues at hand and not see things in a distorted, religious perspective. @good2freelance In history, in the beginning of Muslim religion, they are allow to leave or enter the religion as free as they like. However, in the whole wide world, only Malaysia and Indonesia have this law that the child is born in a Muslim family must be Muslim.

A baby born from a moslem parent, the baby will automatically convert to moslem. The baby absolutely no choice and force to sign the contract and force to accept the punishment in future if there is a possibility the baby want to convert to christian.

leave the rest to God.. Malaysia is a great country, in its rawest form, it has great ecology..and so on, and has raw materials. unlike Singapore, where i am from. But, what i really wished for, is that, the Malays there to be a more Globalised Muslim thinkers. Its true, that, Malays in this entire region, are very tribal centric, its very dangerous, its arrogance, will take away, the true beauty of Malaysia
