iMovie '06 may not do everything, but what it does, it does so very, very well. I also edit via the keyboard shortcuts. I keep thinking that I want to go towards something like Sony Vegas, but I cannot escape iMovie's tractor beam! Someday I may have to force myself, as I despise the later releases of iMovie.
I'm not going to Lion, at least not yet. That is mainly for reasons of PPC applications as well.

Btw, I didn't really realize you could use Image Capture for importing videos, lols :)

@UbuntuHelpGuy yep, image capture basically imports media from a camera or phone. makes life a lot easier.
