  • THE WORLD'S GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND-THE ROLLING STONES

  • To me, beginning with Black and Blue and ending with Tattoo You the Stones lay down some of their most driving songs in their career. They do it through, funk, disco, rock, blues, and jazz.. Some of their most impressive writing / playing ever.

  • the best

  • I sing or groan along with Mick

  • @MrBluesrules Nobodys better than anyone else, they all put something to the Stones melting pot. Brian gave his diversity with instruments, Mick gave the best guitar playing, and Ron gives the best stage presence and looks like Keith's younger brother so fits in a tad better than the two blonde haired fellas.

  • Um, they're the world's greatest band.

  • when the whip comes down......

  • @MrBluesrules Oh, I've listened to it all. But BB to TY is my favorite stretch.Thanks.

Yeah, well maybe you should give a listen to some earlier Stones music and enjoy the evolution of the Greatest Rock and Roll Band of ALL Time. A good sampling can be found on Hot Rocks Vol. I. Beggars Banquet, Get Yer YaYas out, Sticky Fingers, Flowers, Exile on Main St. All before Black and Blue which I think really sucked.Mick Taylor (from John Mayalls BluesBreakers to the Stones) hear Gimme Shelter, and Brian Jones were way better than Ron Wood.

  • It seems to me that after "Some Girls", The Rolling Stones just weren't the same. They were relying too much on overdubs by this time. They also recorded a lot of songs that would appear on later albums like "Tattoo You". It's a great record, no question about it. But they were never the same after this.

  • Classic. Great vibe.

  • Who doesn't turn this one up when it comes on? thanks...
