People who consider my comments about people who voted for amend. 1 "stereotyping" are blowing them way out of proportion. Of course not all the people who voted for it are backwoods rednecks in their daily lives, and of course it's possible that some backwoods, alcoholic, church-going red necks may have been civil enough on this issue to vote against it. The point is that those who voted for this are fueling that ignorant southern stereotype by fitting the part.
