Demo version of Cassie.

Lyrics:
I will say yes!

The question asked in order
To save her life or take it,
The answer no to avoid death,
The answer yes would make it.
Make it...

Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
Say yes to pull the trigger.
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
And Cassie pulled the trigger.

All heads are bowed in silence
To remember her last sentence,
She answered him knowing what would happen,
Her last words still hanging in the air.
In the air...

Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
Say yes to pull the trigger.
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
And Rachel pulled the trigger.

Say yes and pull the trigger...

How many will die?
I will say yes!
And Cassie pulled the trigger.

Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
And Rachel pulled the trigger.
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet?
And I will pull the trigger.

  • @Sarahluvsyou12345 Thats in my personal library <3

  • @BOTDFrocks11 Even if people said that Cassie was in the particular situation, Rachel was in no shape or form. I think what Lacey is saying is that Rachel was a devoted folower of God (which she was).

  • Alright, just to clear things up about the actual story. Rachel was at the wrong place at the wrong time during the Columbine shooting, so basically she was unaware. Cassie was unaware as well and she was in a bad spot. Erik said "Peek-a-boo" to her before shooting her. So they were never asked the question "Do you believe in God?" Valeen was asked that question but she was only injured. There are two different stories behind this, but I only believe the one that I mentioned in my comment.

  • @gilbeth77 Actually Cassie was the one they were not sure about. Well they werent really sure about either of them, but rachel was a firm believer in God. I know that much. I am reading a book by her mom and dad called rachel's tears.

  • The FBI concluded that Rachel was not asked if sh believes in God. That must be why the song was changed to Cassie. Unfortunately this is only a Wiki link... I cannot be sure on how "accurate" it is.

  • @yahoofreak456 No, the song is about Cassie Bernall, who was shot in the Colunmine High School Massacre. People believed that she was the one asked "Do you believe in God?" and then was shot when she said she did. However, an eyewitness reported that Cassie was under a table, and the shooter said "Peek-A-Boo" after knocking on the table, then shot her. The person asked "Do you believe in God?" was Valeen Schnurr, who was left alone after she answered, and who was only injured, not killed.

  • I Like the version from the Acual album, This one is more Satisfying to me because she says the girl who this songs about NAME in the song. This song is about a girl named rachels murder. A Group of people came to her and Said "Do you belive in god" and i think you know from the song what she said. Her name Was rachel. Thats why this song actually SAYS HER NAME. RACHEL IS HER NAME.

  • I like that picture of her.

  • @psychobabe567 Well the other versions are just demos, like this one, but some are acoustics, remixes, and re-makes. For example the Remember to Live EP.

  • Lacey sounds so adorable here.
